District 25 wants to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond for our members. Our September Outstanding Member is Charlie Bowles.
Charlie is a repeat Toastmaster; he first joined back in 1990 in Lewisville. He stepped away after 10 years but returned to us in 2013. We are so glad he did.
This year he is serving as the District Logistics Manager, and it was in that role that the trio asked him to spearhead the first-ever Virtual Business Meeting. This included finding the best, most cost-effective virtual meeting platform, and a way to handle the voting procedures and manage the 100+ virtual attendees. All in a very short space of time. He only had about 60 days to accomplish all this. He did a remarkable job. His conscientious efforts and patience in dealing with a tech-deficient District Director are what has gained him this honor. Read more about him in this month’s Staff Spotlight.
