by Joyce Trimble, Fall Summit Chair
The Summit is a one-day event for YOU! Without “U”, we would just have a summit! It might phonetically sound the same, but it isn’t.
We could not have a more qualified Talent Coordinator for our educational travels together on November 10. SUSAN GARDNER. Past District 50 Governor and D25 Pathways Chief Ambassador to name only two of a long list of Toastmasters successes.
The overall success of our 12 separate educational sessions will be … YOU! That is right, we want YOU to share YOUR message. Do you need to present for an award qualification? Do you want to pursue your goal of public speaking? This is YOUR opportunity to present topics such as Mentoring, Attracting, and Recruiting New Members, Stepping into Leadership, Toastmasters 101, Team Building, Networking, Job Interviewing, or How to use Base Camp.
Each selected applicant will participate in a conference call interview to discuss the proposal. On the call, the applicant will be asked to deliver the first few minutes of their opening, give an in-depth overview of the presentation and deliver their conclusion. If there are activities involved, you will describe them.
Under the guidance of the D25 Program Quality Director, final selections will be made, and each applicant notified by August 26, 2018.
Do you understand why I said from the beginning, “This is a one-day event for YOU!”
But education sessions are not all that will happen on November 10. We will also be having our traditional Distinguished Toastmaster ceremony which you definitely don’t want to miss.
