December is upon us and with it quickly approaches Speech Contest Season! Over the first half of this Toastmasters year, we have come together to build bridges to our future and are actively working to Empower our Legacies. We’ve experienced growth and change and continued to work together towards the ultimate goal of all Toastmasters – to build the leaders of tomorrow.
What greater way to celebrate the holiday season and kick off the New Year than to prepare to share our stories and legacies through speech! Contest season provides an opportunity for each of us to showcase where we have been, where we will go, and most importantly have fun along the way.
Starting at the Club level and eventually working to the World Championship of Public Speaking, Toastmasters around the globe are making their speeches, checking them twice (or more), and preparing to make this year another for the record books.
This year, District 25 will conduct the following contests:
International Speech Contest
Table Topics Contest
- At the Club Level, contests may be held virtually, in-person, or hybrid – whichever works best for your members. All contests must follow Toastmasters International Rules (available on the Contest Resources Page on D25toastmasters.org). Please send your Area Director a Notification of Contest Winners form (also available on the Contest Resources page)
- At the Area and Division levels, contests will be held virtually, by guidelines set by Toastmasters International.
Contests are a great opportunity to come together, enjoy learning from each other and gain confidence speaking in front of an audience! If you are looking for support putting on a contest, please contact your Area Director, Division Director, or myself – we are here to help!
May the season bring you peace, comfort, and Joy.
