Eyes of Wonder: Rekindling Our Childlike Spirit

Why do we tend to lose sight of that childlike mindset in our middle years? Wouldn’t it feel wonderful to revisit the carefree childlike traits we once had? Wouldn’t it be great to get an early look at the wisdom and hindsight we’ll have when we’re older? Laurie knows that the outlook shared by young children and older adults is strikingly similar. Join Laurie in exploring what happens when we remind ourselves what’s truly important.

Bio:

Laurie Gabriel has been teaching middle schoolers for three decades and has been entertaining senior citizens since she was 13. She has traveled to 49 countries and plans to get to 60 before she is 60.  Laurie’s experiences have helped her see things from a variety of perspectives. She is the author of the book Eyes of Wonder, producer of the documentary Heal Our Schools, and winner of multiple Toastmasters competitionsShe recently presented a Tedx Talk on the subject of recaputuring our childlike sense of wonder.
