One of the jobs of the Vice President Public Relations in a club is to protect the Toastmasters Brand. This can be a little confusing if you don’t have a marketing or public relations background.
A brand is a collection of information that is distinct to an organization. This information is everything from the name of the organization to the fonts it uses. You want anything your club puts out to let people know you are part of Toastmasters. You can do this by using the specific fonts and colors Toastmasters International has selected to represent us. They have set out all these guidelines in the Brand Manual, which you can download as a free pdf from the Toastmasters International website.
At the same time, you don’t want to confuse or hurt people’s perceptions of Toastmasters by using the aspects of the brand in a negative way. This means not doing things like changing the logo or the tag line, and much more.
To make this easier Toastmasters international has created a number of free resource for you to use.
