Joyce has attained the highest education level in Toastmasters, Distinguished Toastmaster, three times with a personal recipe to achieve her 4th in 2025. She was the Inaugural Summit Manager in 2018 and has chaired or co-chaired the District’s yearly Awards Banquet, each honoring a District Director five times. She is already engaged to serve in this role for the 6th time. She was recognized for her dedication and excellent support to the District’s members in 2018 with the District 25 Service Award. In 2020 she was awarded the coveted District Toastmaster of the Year in recognition of Exceptional Leadership and Devoted Service. In 2021, she was recognized for outstanding service and exceptional leadership as the Division Director of the Year
In her personal life, she has been married to Carl for over—let’s just say a long time. She has 3 grown children, Cindy, Carol, Hank, and 6 grandchildren, Brianna, Bailey, Daisy, Henry, and Kenny with #6 on the way. She has worked in the mortgage industry for over 30 years from front-line operations to Vice President. She is a member of First Families of Smith County Texas and owns family land purchased in 1910. These personal experiences, events, careers, and family are the blended version of who Joyce is.
