Laura Stewart has been a member of Toastmasters since 2012 when she retired from Data Management at Birdville ISD and began to embark on the next chapter in her life. She earned her Distinguished Toastmaster level in 2018. Laura has served as an area director, conference committee member, the district graphics designer, and last year received the Toastmasters District Award for Service.
Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Education for the Afterburners Club. With a talent of making others laugh, Laura has earned various awards and trophies in humorous, tall tales, and international speech contests. She joined Toastmasters to refine her speaking skills in order to motivate and encourage others through laughter, believing in the healing powers that laughter brings. Toastmasters has taught her that communication and leadership skills are key to thrive in an ever-changing world and is here to discuss the many benefits of Toastmasters.
